FACILITIES:
The Augusta BioBusiness Center is located in downtown Augusta at 973 and 985
Broad Street. The ABBC occupies 16,653SF with fully furnished and equipped
wet laboratory suites, dry laboratories, offices, conference rooms, cubicles
plus two employee break rooms and a mail/copy room. The ABBC is home to the
Georgia Medical Center Authority's administrative offices, plus three biotech
companies.
SERVICES:
ABBC provides a variety of services for a new
start-up company. All of these services are designed
to provide small companies with operational support,
technical know-how and fully equipped facilities
to free up time for the entrepreneur to concentrate
on developing
the new company. In most cases, GMCA is able to provide
company specific facilities and equipment through
state and local funding sources.
ABBC provides:

ABBC seeks to attract medical device, bioinformatics,
medical software, tele-medicine, and biotech companies.
ABBC assists post-incubator companies as well as new start-ups.
Companies that have increasing revenue, but are not yet
ready to acquire their own facilities are potential licensees.
These companies will further be assisted by GMCA by issuing
bonds to aid in the acquisition or development of new R&D
or manufacturing facilities
